So it’s been a while…..

……..since I remembered I actually had a blog. About three years in fact.  What has happened in the meantime? Not a great deal on the surface but 2017 is going to be a big year in terms of personal achievement so what better way of documenting it.

My ultimate goal remains the same – to become a recognised photographer.  There, I’ve said it out loud.  No idea how I am going to achieve this but it seems like a reasonable goal to have.

So I thought I would start by using my 365 project (year 2, for those who are interested), to give me a helping hand.  I plan on using the blog to explain how I created some of the shots, as I it always amazes me that photos can look amazing, yet are created with some dodgy home made set up, usually in the kitchen right before I do the school run.

Actually off to do the school run now so I will have to get back to you with my first “real” post…….

Project 365 – Day 2. A window on wine.

On to day 2 of the newly formed Project 365.  I’ve been saving these corks for a while so finally go the opportunity to do something with them! Window on Wine seemed like a good title to me ;-).  Having played around for a bit with various different compositions I came up with this as my favourite.  I thought I would include the champagne cork for good measure too.

Another first in the household today – my first homemade quiche. Haven’t tasted it yet but it looks the part so that’s half the battle won.

So, here goes then…….

who would have thought it, me doing a blog!  Will anyone actually read my ramblings and ruminations? I’ll be aiming to focus my blog on all things photographic – pics or musings, only time will tell.  Lets start with one of my fave images that I have taken. It was taken on our family holiday to Barbados in 2012.  I love the Caribbean and we were thrilled to be able to take our small person with us to a place that is forever special in our hearts.  One day she will be old enough to appreciate a trip to the Cliff restaurant – the finest I have ever dined in! Until then there is all inclusive!  Anyhow, I digress, I love this image for all sorts of reasons, but mainly for the calm and tranquility of the couple strolling on the beach.

Hope you like it as much as I do – any feedback would be greatly appreciated 😉
